Our Year 4 Football Team claimed a decisive victory at the Sanders Draper indoor football tournament. Noah, Kieran, Luke, Eden, Ronnie and Alfie played quite superbly and won all of their matches.
With Noah excelling when called upon in goal and Kieran expertly marshalling the defence, we conceded only one goal in four games. Whilst the outstanding midfield and attacking options of Luke, Eden, Ronnie and Alfie proved too much for the other schools in the tournament.
Hacton 4-0 Elm Park
In our first match we comfortably beat Elm Park Primary 4-0, with Alfie scoring a hat trick and Eden also scoring a great goal.
Hacton 6-1 RJ Mitchell
RJ Mitchell were simply outclassed in our second match: Alfie and Ronnie scored two goals each, Eden and Kieran scored one goal each. Manager Mr Emes (a loyal Manchester City supporter) likened our 6-1 victory to Man City's 9-0 thrashing of West Ham!
Hacton 1-0 Suttons
In our next game we spurned numerous chances, however a fine strike from Alfie was enough to secure a 1-0 win over Suttons.
Hacton 1-0 Scotts
The last game against a strong Scotts was the toughest of the day. Although we missed a penalty, Eden's first half goal sealed our victory.
Hacton played quite brilliantly as a team, scoring a total of twelve goals and conceding only one. Although Alfie scored an impressive six goals, Mr Emes awarded player of the tournament to Kieran who was simply superb in defence - 'Vincent Kompany-like' as Mr Emes described him! Well done to all who played.
