Today we were visited by Gina Dickson, one of the GB Deaf swimming coaches. We found out all about the Deaflympics which is an international multi-sport event for deaf athletes that will be taking place in Tokyo, Japan, from 15th-26th November 2025, marking the event's 100th anniversary. Unlike the Paralympics, the Deaflympics are specifically for deaf athletes and has been running since 1924. The Provision children were excited to find out about all the sports that Deaf people will be competing in and are keen to one day take part themselves.
